This site is a tribute to Jeff Beech. Loved not just by his own family and friends but the hundreds of students he taught over his 30 year career as a P.E teacher at Robert Mays School Odiham. His kindness and dedication to helping others achieve their goals will never be forgotten.
His fortitude and dedication to leading a healthy life through swimming, yoga and weights, all the way up to his 79th birthday, played a pivotal role in surviving with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma 14 years past his diagnosis; finally succumbing to it and Chronic Lymphatic Leukaemia. An inspiration to us all, a true legend.
Were it not for the research that enabled him to continue on for many more years, he would have never seen the birth of his four granddaughters and become an important part in their lives or continued to create so many other happy memories with his own family and friends.
I know he would be so proud to support any continued contribution to help others live a more happy and extended life.
Not forgotten. A great teacher who had a really positive influence and whom I still think about. Some of my favourite memories of school are sports related. I ran the Grand Canyon R2R2R last weekend and I remembered how Jeff had encouraged my cross-country running at school. Thank you Jeff and Terri!
Thanks for being a great colleague Jeff.
The brightest of us all.
